When you are at home, your food routine may be simple, predictable even. However, when you travel away from home, eating habits tend to change for the worse since your environment changes. Think about it, you stop at fast food restaurants throughout the day and you snack on foods from the hot dog stand on the corner.

Here are some tips to help you eat healthy when traveling:

Tip 1: Splurge Wisely – Cut back on calories throughout your day so you can splurge at dinner or one special meal once a day.

Tip 2: Plan Your Meals – Eat out only once a day when traveling. Bring foods with you or do a quick grocery store run when you arrive at your destination.

Tip 3: Distract Yourself – Instead of eating during your layover, go for a walk or browse in some of the gift shops. If you are hungry, choose healthier food options instead of fast food.
