Eating veggies, both cooked and raw, are an important part of a healthy diet. Veggies are high in vitamins and minerals which counteract the free radicals which are produced in the body. Also, eating raw veggies have additional health benefits, such as:

• Lower fat and calories
• Helps with weight loss
• Good source of dietary fiber
• Higher amounts of antioxidants
• Lower blood pressure
• Lower risk of developing heart ailments and stroke
• Helps prevent certain types of cancers
• Slows down the aging process and reduces the risk of diseases associated with old age

In addition, eating plenty of veggies are excellent for weight loss as well. Here are the best veggies to eat for weight loss:

• Spinach
• Pickles
• Potatoes
• Onions

Did you know that eating a variety of veggies is just as important as the quantity? It is recommended to eat at least 1 cup of each color veggies to maximize your health.
