• Make smart choices. You don’t have to give up all your favorite foods. Learn to make smart food choices and simple substitutions, such as air popped popcorn instead of cookies for a snack.
• Be physically active. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity each week. Even if you break up your exercise routine in 10-minute increments, you can still reach your goals.
Remember, to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you eat. Once you learn to balance healthy eating and the right amount of physical activity the average person will lose weight more easily and keep it off.
