People in the United States love their peanut butter! National Peanut Butter Day is January 24th. However, the process of making peanut butter was actually started in Canada in 1884.

Whether smooth or chunky, peanut butter is a rich source of calcium, iron, zinc, selenium, manganese, copper, potassium, B-vitamins, B-complex vitamins, fiber, MUFAs, resveratrol, and vitamin E.

There are so many ways the above help you, but I would like to stress how peanut butter aids in weight loss.

Although peanut butter contains 180 to 210 calories per serving, which is 2 tbsp., the benefits are feeling full and cravings taken care of. This is all thanks to the 2 g of fiber and 8 g of protein.

Peanut butter is good in the mid-morning and afternoon to regulate blood sugar and get rid of yucky appetite urges.

Peanut butter has become popular in health foods markets and the fitness industry.

There is even a book called The Peanut Butter Diet by Holly McCord.

Below are a few ways to sneak peanut butter into your diet:

Spread on a banana.
Spread on celery.
Spread on whole grain bread, toast or English muffin.
Spread on saltines or whole wheat crackers.

Lick right off of the spoon!
Last but not least, if you are the Betty Crocker type, make some peanut butter protein balls. The recipe is super easy. Each peanut butter protein ball has 150 calories.

Personally, I find peanut butter to be a good go-to if starving, extremely busy, weak, etc.

You can find peanut butter so cheap from any dollar store. Are you sure it is not already in your kitchen and you forgot about it?
