I had been at a weight plateau for over a year. I attempted more exercise, no success. I attempted better food, no success.
I read magazines frequently and quite a few times, portion control plates were mentioned. Women were using portion control plates and the weight came off. I wanted to purchase one on-line, but just thought I was not worthy enough (see how my self-esteem was?). I also deep down did not think the plate would work.
Last month, I went with some friends to go shopping. We stopped at a thrift store. I was browsing the kitchen section and saw some plastic plates. Sure enough, there were two (2) portion control plates. Both plates have one (1) section for fruit at one (1) serving. One (1) section for vegetables at one (1) serving. A bigger section for one and one half (1) (1/2) serving of main course.
I kept one plate for myself and gave the other to a roommate. Guess what? She has lost ten (10) pounds. I have lost eight (8) pounds!
So, the portion control plates really do work. Increase exercise (which I am doing) and just maybe being overweight might be a problem no more.
