There are diets everywhere...low-fat, low-carb, Weight Watchers, vegetarians, etc. It is not whether you want to lose weight...everyone who needs to lose weight really wants to lose weight. It is about getting serious.
You will try and fail many times. But, one day, you will find the one that works!
Don't be intimidated! Of course there are millions of diets with different names. However, you will find that there are certain common features dieters have in common...mostly like a lifestyle.
find an exercise you love
exercise a minimum of 30 minutes each day
eat smaller meals
keep a food journal
partner with a weight loss buddy
drink as much bottled water as possible
increase your fiber intake
get plenty of sleep
eat more protein
eat more fruits and veggies
finally, have some carbs! That is where you get your energy!
Now you are all set! Do the above until you find that magic diet...but you must make sure it is a diet you can commit to forever...which, in other words, obviously, makes it a lifestyle.
I do not think you are stupid. However, there are people out there who need that little nudge. They feel helpless. They feel like crap.
